Guide to Compression Hosiery

Gardamed have produced this compression guide to help you understand the different compression levels and what they mean. Gloriamed hosiery can be divided into 2 categories:

  1. Medical compression stockings.  Available on prescription, these are the manufactured according to the RAL standard which is the highest quality certificate available for compression hosiery.  The compression strength ranges from 21 mmHg to 46mmHg.
  2. Medical support stockings. Ideal for aching, tired legs, early symptoms of vascular disease and to prevent DVT during travel. The compression strength usually ranges from 12mmHg to 20mmHg
